- ➤ Richmond police are asking for help finding suspects involved in armed robberies of postal workers that occurred on March 28 on East Franklin Street and on April 1 on Wellford Street, where one suspect was seen in a gray sweatshirt and dark blue jeans and another in black clothing showed a handgun, and detectives ask anyone with information to call (804) 646-0672, (804) 646-3103 or (804) 780-1000. 6 News
- ➤ Survivors and families of crime victims gathered at a packed parking lot at the Henrico County Government complex on Wednesday evening to walk in solidarity and honor those lost—organizers from Henrico Victim Witness Services said the event helped connect people coping with their grief. 6 News
- ➤ A former General Assembly candidate and her husband pleaded not guilty to nearly a dozen felony charges that include fraudulently obtaining $225K in COVID-era funds at the U.S. District Courthouse in Richmond Wednesday — her trial is set to begin on Sept. 15. 6 News

- ➤ The Library of Virginia was told by the NEH that three federal grants were ended on April 3 for projects to digitize old newspapers, WWII separation notices and create a Jackson Ward exhibition. The library is now looking to get private funds — a move it says is needed to keep these community history projects going. RVAHub

- ➤ VCU Dining Services is testing new composting bins and reusable to-go containers with RFID tracking — as part of its plan to cut food waste and save energy, the campus will also use smart technology to measure leftovers and adjust recipes this fall.
