- ➤ Richmond mom Toni Jacobs held her 8th annual Missing Person’s Day event at Broad Rock Sports Complex on Saturday to raise awareness after her daughter Keeshae disappeared in 2016 — police later declared her deceased despite her remains never being found. Local groups such as the Reopen the Case Foundation and Virginia State Police participated by sharing resource guides and highlighting active cases. 6 News
- ➤ Volunteers joined Richmond’s first Day of Service on Saturday as Mayor Danny Avula invited community members to help improve local neighborhoods and support efforts for affordable housing and better infrastructure—despite recent challenges with federal funding and water system upgrades. - ➤ Firefighters responded just after 6:50 a.m. Saturday to a house fire on the 11800 block of Longtown Drive that destroyed a home and damaged the siding of two neighboring houses—investigators ruled the electrical fire accidental and two residents were displaced though no one was hurt. 6 News

- ➤ A suspect in an attempted robbery died when he was shot at 3:30 a.m. on Fairfield Avenue in Henrico's East End—he was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead with no charges filed. 6 News

- ➤ Central Virginians joined the fourth annual PurpleStride walk at Dorey Park in Henrico County on Saturday to raise funds for pancreatic cancer research—surpassing its $100,000 goal by collecting more than $102,500. The money will help support research and resources for those battling the disease. 6 News
