- ➤ Authorities are investigating a 911 call from Tuesday at 6:48 a.m. that led to a naked white male in his late 40s or early 50s being found two feet off Route 1 in Brunswick County near the Mecklenburg County line + his remains were sent to the Richmond Medical Examiner's Office for identification. 6 News

- ➤ A new pump installed at Richmond’s water treatment plant raised fluoride levels for five hours last Wednesday, with Monday tests showing levels up to 1.6 mg/L at water entry points—city officials said the water was always safe and counties plan to flush the lines to reset the system. WRVA

- ➤ Richmond City Council adjusted Mayor Danny Avula's $3 billion budget by adding extra funds for a Family Crisis Fund, legal assistance for residents facing eviction, and youth programs — these changes require matching cuts to keep the budget balanced. - ➤ City officials are updating Richmond’s zoning code—unchanged since the 1970s—to allow taller, mixed-use developments that will create more affordable housing, walkable neighborhoods and greenspace by 2037.
