- ➤ At City Hall Tuesday and Wednesday, Richmond officials will review proposals—such as a 5-cent tax on plastic bags, updates to flood maps, and a plan to protect heritage sites—along with ideas for affordable housing, traffic calming, and funding for wastewater improvements. Other public meetings in Charlottesville and Albemarle County will consider police software and economic development plans. VPM
- ➤ At a live-streamed debate at Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School, candidates for Richmond’s primary election argued over their records, with Commonwealth’s Attorney Colette McEachin defending her six-year tenure against challenger Tom Barbour+ and Sheriff Antoinette Irving countering claims from contender William Burnett about jail management.
