- ➤ In response to a boil water advisory, volunteers from RVA Community Fridges quickly stocked local fridges with bottled water and fresh produce—these fridges, open 24/7, rely on about 30 regular volunteers who pick up water and other supplies to help those in need. Taylor Scott, the organization’s founder, said the effort is a vital emergency resource for the community. 12 On Your Side

- ➤ SmartAsset ranked 100 large U.S. cities using Census data to compare median incomes for careers including legal, engineering, computer, education and health. The study shows legal professionals earned over $200,000 in several cities with San Francisco at $224,370 and Richmond at $184,716, while teachers in 94 cities earned below the national median of $80,610 (Census 2023) and business roles sometimes earned less than $60,000 (study findings). - ➤ Virginia expanded its Imported Fire Ant Quarantine Wednesday to include Chesterfield, the Tri-Cities, Lee, Nottoway, Pittsylvania, Prince George, Surry and Danville after fire ants were discovered in those areas—this measure restricts moving soil, plants and used equipment unless they are certified free of the invasive pest. 6 News

- ➤ Some Richmond neighborhoods remain under a boil water advisory today after the water treatment plant had an issue Tuesday that reduced production. Officials took the first compliance sample Tuesday evening and will test again around 1 p.m. today—if the results confirm safety, the advisory may lift by mid-day while bottled water is provided for essential facilities. 6 News
