ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Virginia State Police said that a 19-year-old driver died Friday night when his 2024 Ford F-150 ran off the left side of Route 288 near Chester Road—hitting an embankment past railroad tracks—while the crash remains under investigation. 12 On Your Side

- ➤ Police responded to a call on Saturday morning in the Randolph neighborhood and found a woman with multiple gunshot wounds who was pronounced dead at the scene. Richmond Times-Dispatch
- ➤ A man died after being shot multiple times, including once in the face, at 18th & Coalter Streets near Martin Luther King Middle School in Richmond early Saturday morning around 2:05 a.m. 6 News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Henrico officials said the county’s reserve tanks were refilled as planned on Saturday while Richmond accelerated efforts to repair a major water main break. Richmond crews will begin work at 10:00 p.m. tonight at 7th and Canal streets and are expected to complete repairs early Monday with residents asked to conserve water amid slightly lower pressure. 6 News
- ➤ A study released Friday found that an acre of city-owned land may hold more than 740 unmarked graves—some possibly belonging to Confederate soldiers and others. The city faced scrutiny after spending $16,000 on Confederate marker upgrades and is now working with historians to plan site access for descendant visits and genealogical research. 6 News
