- ➤ Virginia State Police said the investigation continues into the shooting of 18-year-old Naseem King—who was driving on I-64 in Richmond early Sunday morning and died at the scene while two passengers in his car were unharmed. 12 On Your Side
- ➤ A fatal crash on Chippenham Parkway at E. Weyburn Road in South Richmond left one person dead and two injured around 4:42 p.m.—police said all victims were taken to a local hospital while investigators work to determine the cause. 6 News

- ➤ Gov. Glenn Youngkin signed a law that requires hospitals and licensed birthing centers to use set rules to spot obstetric emergencies—called safety bundles—to protect moms and babies. The law is part of his maternal health plan and follows a 50% drop in maternal deaths over the last three years. 6 News
- ➤ Richmond is updating its emergency plan to include a wireless alert system that will automatically notify every cell phone in an affected area during water emergencies—this change follows a recent boil water advisory that left many residents uninformed.
