ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Police are investigating a high-speed crash on I-64 that killed 27-year-old Tameecha F. Chambliss and injured her passenger Alexandria Telisha Gamble and an SUV driver—details show her car overturned after being sideswiped. 12 On Your Side
- ➤ A rollover crash at 4:55 a.m. on Sunday near mile marker 196 on Interstate 64 west by the Airport Drive exit in Henrico County killed 27-year-old Richmond resident Tameecha F. Chambliss and injured two others when her unbelted Mercedes overturned after being hit by a Chevrolet SUV, which closed all lanes while investigators worked the scene (officials said the investigation is ongoing). 6 News

- ➤ Eric Durrell Jackson, a father of six, was murdered in Whitcomb Court on June 22 at 3 a.m. while waiting for chicken—his mother Lindell Jackson said she provided camera footage and tips but police have not arrested anyone, leaving the case unsolved a year later. 6 News
- ➤ Jada Tomlin, 18, went missing after a birthday party off Springfield Road in Henrico’s West End—her phone last pinged in Hanover before stopping, and her mother said no one knows who she left with while police reported she left on her own. 6 News
- ➤ A man was shot in the chest on West Grace Street late Saturday night — he drove himself to VCU Medical Center and remains in critical condition as detectives investigate the incident. 6 News

- ➤ Richmond is set to experience a strong heat wave this week with high 90s and a heat index that could reach 110 degrees, making it dangerously hot in direct sunlight. The National Weather Service says if temperatures hit 110, an Extreme Heat Warning will follow and city officials have opened cooling centers at Marshall Plaza + Southside Plaza to help those at risk.
