- ➤ Good Neighbor Village is an independent living community that gives adults with intellectual disabilities a safe home with daily trips and proper supervision on 43.5 acres in eastern Henrico. Founded in 1987 by three mothers, it now houses nine residents and will expand with a new recreation center to better serve their needs — local donations and community involvement keep the village strong. - ➤ The Metro Richmond Flying Squad—made up of current and retired firefighters, first responders and locals—has helped firefighters stay hydrated and cool during extreme summer heat.
