CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Richmond police identified Christopher Barlow, 47, as the man fatally shot over the weekend on Sussex Street in the Whitcomb neighborhood—officers arrived at 8:52 a.m. and pronounced him dead at the scene. Richmond Times-Dispatch
- ➤ State police released new details as they search for Jason Allen Glidewell II, 19, who is accused of second-degree murder and using a firearm in a fatal shooting along Interstate 85 in Mecklenburg County last week, and the suspect is believed to have driven a silver 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche — his vehicle shows damage on the driver's side and links to Richmond and Henrico. 6 News

- ➤ The city of Richmond has provided free overdose prevention supplies through 24/7 vending machines at Marshall Plaza, Southside Plaza, and East End Library since early July. The program includes naloxone, fentanyl test strips, and sanitary products— the Southside Plaza machine was vandalized and scheduled for repair in late August, but the initiative continues.
