GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ VDH reported that it received over 550 applications for 23 long-term care inspector vacancies out of 49 available—most applicants did not meet the required qualifications—in a recent meeting with lawmakers. The department said it will develop stronger enforcement measures, such as suspending licenses and limiting new admissions, as consumer complaints about nursing home care sharply increased. 6 News
